DEATH BATTLE ARENA
__________________
Name: Jeanne
Age: 600+
Race: Umbra Witch
Title: Heir to the Umbran Throne

Bio: The heir to the Umbran Throne, Jeanne was a long-time friend of her fellow Umbra Witch, Cereza. Civil War broke out between the Witches and their light-based rivals, the Lumen Sages, with the witches coming out on top. The victory was short-lived when the humans, fearing the Umbra Witches' power, hunted them to near extinction. Jeanne would seal Cereza away for 500 years, the latter awakening and donning the name "Bayonetta". Originally working for Balder, Jeanne would break free of his control and become a friend and rival to Bayonetta.

Costume 1: Bayonetta 2 Appearance
Costume 2: Original appearance from "Bayonetta"
Costume 3: White Umbra Witch bodysuit
Costume 4: Classic Umbra Witch dress
Costume 5: Cutie J

Voice Actor: Grey DeLisle

Playstyle: Umbral Arts (Rushdown/Technical)
Jeanne and Bayonetta are similar in many ways, including their combo potential and their use of Wicked Weaves to top off combos with powerful final blows or a few extra hits. Unlike Bayonetta, who specializes in weaponry, Jeanne is focused more on the Umbra Witch Arts, turning into an array of beasts to maximize her combo potential and attack strength. Compared to Bayonetta, her range game is lacking at worst and overly-forward or simplistic at best.
Difficulty – 4/5 (Mildly-Difficult)

Normals:
Standing Light Punch: Jabs forward. Mashing the button soon after will have her follow up with a barrage of punches.
Standing Medium Punch: Backhands with one hand, then thrusts with the barrel of her gun. Can be followed up with a blast from the barrel.
Standing Heavy Punch: Does a thrusting pistol whip. Holding the button soon after will have her fire up to three bursts from the barrel.
Standing Light Kick: A side-kick that can be followed by a flurry of kicks w/button mashing.
Standing Medium Kick: Does a spin-kick to the head with her heel. With proper timing, she can fire a burst from her heel-gun.
Standing Heavy Kick: A crescent kick followed a thrust to the midsection. With proper timing, she can fire her heel-gun to knock the opponent backward.
Air Light Punch: Does a one-two punch with her guns. Can fire a blast from each one w/proper timing.
Air Medium Punch: Pirouettes to backhand the opponent twice.
Air Heavy Punch: Swings both her fists down hard and fires a burst on impact with the opponent.
Air Light Kick: Extends a kick that can combo into another w/proper timing.
Air Medium Kick: Spins her body in a corkscrew fashion, kicking up to three times.
Air Heavy Kick: Does a backflip kick that can launch airborne foes further into the air.
Crouching Light Punch: Swings one gun in a backhand that can be followed up with a double tap from the other.
Crouching Medium Punch: Spins her pistol on her finger, cowboy-style, while swinging it in an uppercut.
Crouching Heavy Punch: Angles both her guns up and fires them both at the same time, creating a burst that can launch opponents.
Crouching Light Kick: Slides a kick across the ground. Can fire a shot from her gun-heel afterward w/proper timing.
Crouching Medium Kick: Spins her body across the ground, leg extended, to trip unguarding opponents.
Crouching Heavy Kick: Does a breakdance-style spin to lash out several times with her legs. Holding the button will have her fire her heel-guns as she does so.

Special Attacks:
-Wicked Weave: During a combo attack, Jeanne has the option of summoning a giant fist or foot from Madama Styx to finish the combo. This takes a small amount off the Super Meter, and must be used sparingly.

-Bullet Art: Using her set of four pistols, All 4 One, Jeanne performs a series of shots.
LIGHT: A double-fire of her handguns before performing a handstand to fire the guns on her heels.
MEDIUM: A forward-leaping pirouette with her leg extended, firing all the way to add extra damage to any kicks that land.
HEAVY: An Axe-Kick that sends rapid-fire bullets down low and can trip up unsuspecting opponents.

-Umbran Art (Lynx): Jeanne crouches, then runs forward as a white cat and springs with a powerful slash, reverting back after she lands from the attack.

-Umbran Art (Moth Within): Jeanne takes a quick stance and, if the opponent attacks her in this state, she will turn into a swarm of moths, reappear behind the opponent and kick them in the back. Requires timing to master.

-Angel Slayer: Taking the aptly-named katana, Jeanne can perform one of three attacks depending on the button used.
*Slaying Thrust: Performs a single thrust that can knock opponents back and let Jeanne advance quickly.
*Umbran Cutter: Performs a series of hi-speed slashes before ending with a downward-swipe that bounces the opponent off the ground.
*Wicked Slash: Performs a single, upward slash that sends a wave of crimson energy at the opponent. Does massive damage, but requires some charge time.

-Umbran Art (Owl): Jeanne transforms into a giant, white owl that swoops up in an arc, talons swiping at an opponent in its path. It has the option to remain airborne for a few seconds and dive with its talons before turning back into Jeanne.

Throws
FORWARD: Jeanne performs a rising kick with a good burst of her pistol-heels, blasting them while in midair, then lets them fall back to the ground.

BACKWARD: Jeanne grabs the opponent's arms from behind, then puts a foot in their back and pushes until there's a "crack" before letting them flop to the ground.

Super Moves:
-Drive-By Shooter: Jeanne hops onto a motorcycle and speeds to one end of the stage, firing from her hand guns. On reaching the other side, she screeches to a halt, goes back the other way with her guns still blazing, then makes a final pass at the opponent and jump off, letting the motorcycle either crash into the opponent or zoom off-stage.

-Madama Styx: Jeanne does a quick dance and her hair summons forth her familiar, Madama Styx, who raises a high-heeled foot and slams it down on the opponent. The giant woman does this again and again, stamping the opponent like a cockroach before pulling back its foot and kicking them all the way to the other side of the arena. It dissipates afterward, leaving only Jeanne.

FATALITIES:
-Feeling Catty: Jeanne crouches and springs at the opponent, transforming into a giant, white lynx as she lands on top of the opponent, sinking fangs into their neck and claws ripping at their midsection. The lynx's claws rip open the stomach area while it rips out the opponent's throat with its fangs. As they lay, bleeding, on the ground, the white cat steps off and emits a loud screech-like roar in victory.

-Giving Sacrifice: Jeanne kicks the opponent in the knee, forcing them down, then pulls a dagger from her pocket and rams it through the opponent's heart, causing them to scream in pain. She then removes it and slashes them across the throat with it, causing blood to cascade down their front until they suffocate and collapse.

FRIENDSHIP: Best Friend Bayo!
Jeanne tosses back her hair, then smiles broadly and laughs happily as Bayonetta frolics over to her, waving all the way. Like giggling schoolgirls, the two have a brief game of patty-cake before Jeanne playfully bops her friend on the forehead. After a mock slap-fight resulting in a bout of girlish laughter, the two hug like sisters.

Intro: Jeanne walks into the area, applying some quick makeup via a compact, then flips it closed, pockets her lipstick tube, then whips out her four pistols with a fancy twirl. She points one at the opponent, then beckons for them to come at her and winks.

Outro: Holstering two of her guns, Jeanne folds her arms, closes her eyes with a slight chuckle, then shakes her head before brushing aside a lock of her platinum-blonde hair.

"This too is fate."

Stage: Umbra Witch Palace

Theme Song: "Blood and Darkness" from Bayonetta

_

Prologue: Accompanying her friend and rival through the portal, Jeanne was thrown for a loop when the two Umbra Witches were separated upon entry. One second, Bayonetta's back was right in her sight, and the next, she was nowhere to be seen. Remembering the time when Cereza pulled her from the pits of Hell, Jeanne swore to find her and repay the favor should her fellow witch be in trouble. To do that meant to explore the world of Death Battle, which Jeanne immediately set to work on doing.

Rival Cutscene:
(A motorcycle screeches to a halt, camera panning up to reveal the familiar white hair and red bodysuit of Jeanne. She lifts up her sunglasses, scouring more shadowed areas of this old-fashioned village.)

Jeanne: No sign of Cereza, and not even the smallest hint that she was here. (shrugs) Don't know what's worse--whether she's purposefully staying ahead of me or tailing me. I won't know until I find her...

(Slipping her sunglasses back on, Jeanne takes off on her motorbike down the street. That is until she sees something heading towards her, also on a motorcycle and sporting her own sunglasses. The two enter a small clearing in the city street and lock blades, Angel Slayer against a large, curved blade, the bikes circling each other as their owners remain locked.)

Trish and Jeanne: YOU!

(Both spring apart and off their bikes, causing them to crash, the two combatants landing on their feet.)

Jeanne: Mind if I ask where your partner is?

Trish: Hell if I know. Even if I did, I don't see how you'd be a threat to him.

Jeanne: Cheeky, aren't you? Have that much faith in your pet?

Trish: More than you'd think, but enough talk. (whips out her handguns) How about a rematch?

Jeanne: With pleasure. (aims her own guns)

(Fade to black.)

Ending: With Bayonetta found and the mastermind defeated, the two sisters in arms returned to their world and resumed their lives. Upon confronting a demon lord poising to conquer the realm, Jeanne was lucky that Bayonetta was there to help and, with their combined sorcery, brought forth the massive, monochromatic Queen Sheba to do battle with it. This demon would learn the true, unbridled strength of the Umbra Witches...
A fellow Umbra Witch, Jeanne and Bayonetta's relationship has been rocky and their rivalry goes back centuries. Now, with her fellow Umbran separated, Jeanne has to search for Bayonetta before the Left Eye is lost in the world of DEATH BATTLE.

Nice how the movesets with the two got plenty to set them apart.
