OoT Cast Pt. 1

Description

This is part one of a long list of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Here are my choices and why.

Also, I should remind you that this is going to be loosely based on the manga series. It's a possible cast if it ever made an anime.

Young Link: I knew he had to sound boyish, but not as high-pitched as most actresses portray them. I originally had someone else in mind, but Mona eventually overtook the role. Her boyish roles can range from shy and naive to intelligent and confident.

Adult Link: I had a bit of a struggle among actors, but ultimately Johnny triumphed because of confidence, energy, and an ability to maintain youth in his performances. I heard his roar in things like Dissidia and Bleach and it seems pretty fitting for Link's spin attack and jump attack.

Young Zelda: I had to go with Stephanie Sheh because, provided some of her higher voices do sound kind of annoying, some other roles aren't really bad. Hinata in particular can kind of capture what Zelda goes through in childhood, caught in a world that doesn't take her words seriously at times.

Adult Zelda: This came from a combination of two performances by Kim Mai Guest. One is Mei Ling from all the MGS cuts in Smash Bros. Brawl and the other is Martel from "Tales of Symphonia". Martel seemed like the better choice because she can be wise, yet still concerned and kind.

Ganondorf: Okay, I was torn between Fred Tatasciore and Gerald C. Rivers for a while, but this is the OoT version of Ganondorf we're talking about and neither really fit the bill. Carson had the depth and pure malice in his Kratos performance that this interpretation of Ganondorf possessed.

Sheik: THIS was a pretty difficult choice here. I couldn't find voice actresses who could sound a combination of masculine and feminine and yet sound mysterious. And, no, I wouldn't use the same actress twice. I finally heard Lightning, thought over the Zelda cast a few weeks later, and then I connected the dots.

Impa: Okay, this one remained true and faithful from the beginning. Her voice was womanly, yet strong and dead-serious, willing to protect Zelda at any call.

okay I give you impa, i agree witht hat choic but for the main two...I wouldn't use them. and I LOVE Mona Marshall, and while JYB is a fantasic voice actor, jsut...no, it's not that i can;t see him as Link, it's just it hink my choices overr right them for A] consistancy, and B] it really, really works and is a perfect balance. Carson feels liek more of a popular bid to me, but you have a lot of faith in him. and I agree an afician american actor could do Gandorf full justice, i don't know to me it's a very different version of OoT I guess.
